Healing in fragments

2 months back, i met with an accident, was lucky enough to break only one bone and be able to get to the hospital on my own. The best part is this experience has lead to me realising a lot of things in life.

Recently, life was trying to tell me to sit back and observe, i did not listen to her. Life always gives us signs keeps talking to us, in my case for few months i forgot that “I” exist, for me those days and weeks were totally put to living on edge. I grew up being a child no body had to worry about. I al ways had my work done, my bags packed for school prior to the day kind of a child, grew up being hyper independent. First few days is being injured not able to move, i had to ask people to give me water and 3 days after the injury dad had to help me lift my head up, yes it was bad. But for me asking for help was the most difficult part.

Someone very close to me called, she told me and to which i agreed is, life has its own way of slowing things down for your benefit, if you don’t take rest.. your body will take one for itself. There was an archeological survey in which it was found the first time people came together as a community was to take care of someone with broken foot, its not wrong to ask for help, its not wrong to let others realise i exist and yes i do have needs. After talking to her my heart feels like it has done base to rest on. She is like a mother to me.

Not only this, the time i got my leg broken i had my final presentation coming up, the final jury of my degree. In this time i had option to give up or try. I never thought of giving up but giving all in, my dad has been there every minute, the way this guy is built emotionally needs to be studied by every man to exist on this planet. He gave me a lot of emotional support during the healing and my finals too. He used to come 1 hour driving, keeping aside his work just to drop and pick me up from college, he did not complain even once and that’s how i understood that I’m loved and being taken care of. The only person who is not caring for me is me myself.

Life sometimes becomes soo busy and heavy, that we forget that we are humans, the love the care we give is what we deserve to and there is no need to Look out it is with in us we just need to look for that.

Currently I’m still recovering and taking a break from architecture, learning art and languages, having peace and challenging myself to take next step.
